Conner McMains – Dean
Born and raised in Little Rock, AR and currently residing in Arlington, TX, Conner McMains holds a BA in Music (Vocal Performance) from Hendrix College (Conway, AR) and an MM in Orchestral Conducting from the University of North Texas (Denton, TX). He has been involved in church music for nearly 20 years in a wide variety of denominations and currently serves as President of the Dallas Chapter of Choristers Guild. Conner has served on the Executive Committees of the Central Arkansas AGO and the Dallas AGO, is the former Chair of the Southwest Region of AGO Young Organists, and worked with the DAGO 2017 Regional Convention Steering Committee to coordinate AGOYO outreach and programming. In addition, he is an active member of the AGO’s Committee on Membership Development and Chapter Support as well as the Taskforce on Member Inclusivity. Conner is currently the Director of Music at St. Monica Catholic Church (Dallas, TX), where he coordinates and supervises a growing music ministry of nearly 250 musicians in multiple languages as well as a popular Fine Arts Series. He is also the Tenor Section Leader for the Fort Worth Chorale (Schola Cantorum), the accompanist for UT Arlington’s University Singers, and a dual member of both Dallas and Fort Worth Chapters of AGO.
